In God's grace, opening our doors and reaching out to bring
God's love, peace and joy to all.

We warmly welcome you to Drumoak-Durris Church and invite you to explore further our website. As a Church we believe it's people who matter, how we relate to God and how we relate to one another, and so our hope and our prayer is that beyond looking at our website, you will be encouraged to come along and visit us.

Drumoak-Durris Parish lies in Royal Deeside between Aberdeen and Banchory and is centred around the two villages of Drumoak and Durris located either side of the River Dee.

Alpha Course

This autumn, Drumoak-Durris Church will be running an Alpha Course where we explore the basics of the Christian faith and have the opportunity to ask questions. Everybody is welcome to join our meetings where you can enjoy a meal and good conversation!

The sixth meeting will take place on Tuesday 5th November at 6.30pm at The Manse, 26 Sunnyside Drive, Drumoak. Please note that the venue and time might change depending upon participants.

For more information, please contact Rev. Jean Boyd on 01330 811031.

Survey Of Church Land & Buildings

The General Trustees are carrying out a survey of Church land and buildings. They would live as many people as possible to complete the survey which can be found here. Please take part in this very important survey about our land and buildings.

Christmas Angels

Drumoak-Durris Church invites you to knit Christmas Angels which we plan to place round the community during advent. Although it sounds like it seems too early in the year, we would like as many as possible. The angels will have a Bible verse attached and people will be able to take one home for Christmas.

The knitting pattern is available here. For more information, please contact Gillian Taylor on 01330 811709. Thank you for your help with this project.

Drumoak Church Refurbishment Update

It has been almost a year now since the work on the building stopped. Despite this, there has been quite a lot going on behind the scenes. I have to admit those of us who are working on this project have found this past year – shall we say – a little challenging, and at times very disheartening, but we have been working. We have been gathering together various options of the way forward, costings for those options and attending many, many meetings, seminars and discussions.

Drumoak-Durris Church Service Update

On Monday 7th August 2017, work commenced regarding the refurbishment of Drumoak Church. Although it is very much a ‘building site’ - and as such has restricted access - the churchyard will still be open for those who wish to visit.

The Drumoak-Durris Kirk Session has agreed that services on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of each month will take place in Drumoak Church Hall whilst services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month will continue to be held in Durris Church - this will be the format for the foreseeable future.

We thank you for your understanding and patience during this new period and we very much look forward to introducing you to the new refurbished church when it is complete.

You can find out the dates and locations of our services for the next two months by viewing our service calendar.
